Howie Huang

Howie Huang is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the George Washington University. His interests are in the general areas of computer and systems architecture, especially data-intensive computing, file and storage systems, cloud computing, energy-efficient computer systems, and high-performance computing and storage for scientific applications. His research and teaching have been supported by the National Science Foundation, IBM, NVIDIA, Amazon, SUN, and GWU Institute of Biomedical Engineering. His work was selected as a finalist for the Best Student Paper Award at SC’11, and won the Best Poster Award at PACT’11.  Dr. Huang received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Virginia in 2008.
