Haithem Turki joined NVIDIA in 2024 and is currently a Senior Research Scientist. His research focuses on reconstructing, simulating, and generating 3D worlds, with a particular interest in the intersection of reconstruction and generative modeling: using generative priors to improve 3D reconstruction, and using reconstruction to ground generative models in the physical world. His recent work spans scalable neural scene reconstruction, real-time sensor simulation, and 3D content generation.
He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, where he was advised by Deva Ramanan and collaborated with Argo AI and Meta Reality Labs Research. Before his Ph.D., he spent seven years at Palantir Technologies in product and engineering leadership roles. He obtained his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University, where he worked with Alex Aiken and Daphne Koller.
