Research Intern, AI-Mediated Reality and Interaction Research - 2027

NVIDIA’s AI-Mediated Reality and Interaction (AMRI) Research group is looking for research interns for 2027. Our mission is to build Interactive Embodied AI capable of operating safely, collaboratively and socially-appropriately in dynamic 4D worlds. We conduct fundamental research on the algorithms, theory and application of human-AI interaction and 4D world modeling using new ideas in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, world models, neural rendering and human behavior understanding. That research impacts many existing NVIDIA products, including Isaac, Omniverse, NuRec, DLSS, AI4Media, Metropolis and helps create new ones. We need a highly creative, independent and self-starting experienced research intern to help us invent that future. What you’ll be doing:

• Propose novel fundamental research that significantly advances the state-of-the-art in the broader research community and is relevant to NVIDIA’s business
• Prototype and test your ideas
• Patent and publish your research in top-tier conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGGRAPH, etc.)
• Participate in technology transfer with engineers around NVIDIA as ideas “graduate” from research to product
• Collaborate closely with other research team members at NVIDIA

What we need to see:

• Pursuing PhD Degree in relevant discipline(s) (CS, CE, EE, Physics, Math)
• Outstanding research track record of publishing in top-tier conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, SIGGRAPH, etc.)
• Proficiency in theory and practice of AI and computer vision, knowledge of computer graphics is a plus
• Proficiency with distributed deep learning training frameworks, e.g., PyTorch.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++. Familiarity with CUDA
• Excellent communication skills
