NVIDIA

Alessandro joined Nvidia’s Dynamic Vision and Learning (DVL) lab in September 2024 as a joint PhD student with Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia (Unimore), supervised by Laura Leal-Taixé and Prof. Rita Cucchiara. Coming from a Robotics background, with a M.Sc. in Robotics, Systems and Control at ETH Zurich (2024), his past projects include path planning for autonomous drones, Lidar perception of obstacles in autonomous gokart racing, and Human-Centric Computer Vision. During his PhD, he will focus on 4D Dynamic Scene Reconstruction and Perception. When he’s not working, he enjoys climbing on plastic walls or big rocks and going fast up and down from mountains with his feet or skis.
