Cristiano is a Research Scientist within the Dynamic Vision and Learning (DVL) Group at NVIDIA, where he previously served as a Postdoctoral Researcher. He earned his PhD at the University of Trento’s MHUG laboratory under the supervision of Professors Elisa Ricci, Nicu Sebe, and Fabio Galasso, specializing in deep learning, computer vision, domain adaptation, and generalization. During his doctoral studies, he also conducted research at the Technical University of Munich under the guidance of Dr. Aljoša Ošep and Prof. Dr. Laura Leal-Taixé.
Cristiano is deeply passionate about the intersection of computer vision, autonomous driving, robotics, perception, and reconstruction. His current research explores the potential of 2D and 3D sensors, leveraging both LiDAR and cameras. When he isn’t training models, you can find him scaling climbing walls, hiking mountain peaks, or playing the guitar.
