Hi! I’m Franziska, a deep learning research intern at the NVIDIA Dynamic Vision and Learning (DVL) group under the supervision of Laura Leal-Taixé. I completed a research internship in 2024, and have since conmtinued my work as part-time student researcher. I am also a PhD student at Technical University of Munich. Before my PhD, I have obtained a MSc and BSc degrees in Mathematics from Muenster University, Germany and Utrecht University, Netherlands.

My research focuses on representation learning for complex temporal and spatial data with applications in neuroscience and climate science. Hereby, I am especially interested in leveraging advanced deep learning architectures from vision and language domains to overcome the challenges posed by real-world data, such as its inherent noise and complex, irregular structure.
