Orçun obtained a B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey, and spent a semester abroad in Finland as an exchange student at Tampere University. He worked on vision-based path-planning for his Bachelor’s thesis. He then moved to Munich to pursue an M.Sc. in Neuroengineering with a focus on artificial intelligence at the Technical University of Munich. During his studies, he did several research internships in computer vision and wrote his thesis on multi-object tracking. In March 2022, he joined the Dynamic Vision and Learning Group as a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Laura Leal-Taixé. He is currently a research intern at NVIDIA.
