Andre received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from UCLA under the supervision of Prof. Joseph Teran in 2017, focusing on Material Point Method. He worked as a post-doctoral scholar at University of Pennsylvania under the supervision of Prof. Chenfanfu Jiang from 2017 to 2018. He then joined DreamWorks Animation as a Software Engineer in the FX R&D Department, to work on granular and fluid simulation, as well as sparse data structure.
He joined the High Fidelity Physics simulation team at NVIDIA in 2022. He is interested in differentiable simulation of dynamic phenomena and LLM. He is also involved in the OpenVDB project.
