Marius Memmel is a PhD student at the University of Washington supervised by Prof. Dieter Fox (RSE lab) and Prof. Abhishek Gupta (WEIRD lab). In 2024, he interned at Bosch USA, Pittsburgh working with Jonathan Francis and Bingqing Chen.

He graduated with a Master’s in Computer Science from TU Darmstadt in 2022, focusing on computer vision and robot learning. His research focuses on robot learning, reinforcement learning, and system identification in robotic manipulation, with notable work on ASID (Active Exploration for System Identification) accepted to ICLR 2024 as an oral presentation.
