Leo Tam

Leo Tam works on vision-language approaches in medicine. His recent projects include applied NLP topics and weakly supervised medical imaging with vision and language. He was previously a scientist at Stanford’s School of Medicine, with performance in competitions in the top 3% of a retinopathy competition sponsored by the California Healthcare Foundation and second place in a commodities trading competition (algorithm subsequently live-traded with $750,000). Leo holds patents for deep learning, MRI machine learning, and reconstruction methods. Leo earned his BSc in Mathematics-Physics from Brown University and PhD from Yale University.
