  Sai Bangaru

 Sai Bangaru is a research scientist at NVIDIA working on algorithms &amp; compilers for differentiable programming, with applications in graphics &amp; vision. His current research focuses on incorporating scalable, high-performance automatic-differentiation into the [Slang shading language](https://github.com/shader-slang/slang).

Sai received his Ph.D. in EECS from [MIT CSAIL](https://www.csail.mit.edu/) in April 2024, advised by [Prof. Frédo Durand](http://people.csail.mit.edu/fredo/). He previously received M.S. and B.Tech degrees in Computer Science from [Carnegie Mellon University](https://www.cmu.edu/) and the [Indian Institute of Technology Madras](https://www.iitm.ac.in/) respectively.
