Theresa Foley

Theresa joined NVIDIA in 2015, and pursues research on programming models, languages, and APIs for real-time graphics and games. Her main focus at NVIDIA is on the Slang shading language and compiler framework, which shows how mechanisms from modern general-purpose langauges can be used to greatly improve the productivity of shader programmers without sacrificing runtime performance.

Theresa received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford in 2012. She has contributed to the specifications for OpenCL, SPIR-V, and Vulkan.
