Blaire joined the real-time rendering research group as an intern in Summer 2024 and returned for Summer 2025. She is a PhD Candidate at Cornell University, advised by [Prof. Steve Marschner] (https://www.cs.cornell.edu/~srm/).
Blaire’s research focuses on realistic appearance modeling of materials and physically based rendering using wave optics. She is also working on generating high-quality, physically based rendering materials using neural methods and procedural models. Before coming to Cornell, Blaire pursued her undergraduate study at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Computer Science.
