Blaire joined the real-time rendering research group as an intern in Summer 2024 and returned for Summer 2025. She is a PhD Candidate at Cornell University, advised by Prof. Steve Marschner.
Blaire’s research focuses on realistic appearance modeling of materials and physically based rendering using wave optics. She is also working on generating high-quality, physically based rendering materials using neural methods and procedural models. Before coming to Cornell, Blaire pursued her undergraduate study at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Computer Science.
