Chris is a research scientist in the Real-Time Graphics group, where he works on inverse and forward generative rendering. Chris is interested in exploring how traditional graphics pipelines can be augmented with neural networks to increase artistic control and expression. He joined the team full-time in August 2026.
Chris completed his Ph.D. at Simon Fraser University in the Computational Photography Lab, where his research focused on intrinsic image decomposition and illumination-aware image editing. A complete list of prior publications can be found here.
