Cyril Crassin joined NVIDIA Research in 2011 after obtaining his Ph.D. degree from Grenoble University at INRIA in France.
His expertise and main research interests are in real-time graphics pipelines, voxel-based alternative geometric and material representations, anti-aliasing and general filtering techniques, hardware ray-tracing and global illumination.
Notable impactful contributions are the GigaVoxels rendering pipeline and the GIVoxels/VXGI voxel-based indirect illumination technique, with several hardware implications in the NVIDIA Maxwell architecture.
Cyril is currently is doing research on real-time rendering, and publications prior to joining NVIDIA can be found here and here.
