Yulong Cao is a Research Scientist with the Autonomous Systems and Physical AI Research (ASPIRE) Group. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan, advised by Morley Mao. He obtained his B.S. from the University of Michigan and Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2017. His research goal is to build secure and safe autonomous systems. His previous research sought to understand the vulnerability status of autonomous-driving perception systems and how to secure them. His research interests broadly span machine learning security, sensor security, and cyber-physical systems security.
