Graduate Fellow: Ashwin Aji (2012)

Ashwin is a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech, and his advisor is Prof. Wu-chun Feng. He also received his M.S degree from the same university and advisor in 2008. His research aims to develop parallelization methodologies and performance models for large heterogeneous systems. He is an active member of the SyNeRGy research lab and the Network Dynamics and Simulation Science Lab (NDSSL) at Virginia Bioinformatics Institute. He has also worked as a summer intern in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department of Argonne National Laboratory.  He has obtained his bachelor’s degree (B.E) from R.V.College of Engineering (Visweswaraiah Technological University), Bangalore, Karnataka. He also has worked as a software developer at National Instruments, Bangalore and Microsoft Corp., Redmond.
