Graduate Fellow: Pinar Muyan-Ozcelik (2011)

Pinar Muyan-Ozcelik is a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Davis, where she conducts research on GPU Computing in the Automotive Computing and Medical Imaging domains. She works under the guidance of Prof. John D. Owens and is specifically interested in the use of GPUs for the multitasking of real-time embedded tasks, computer vision, speed-limit-sign recognition, and deformable medical image registration. She holds a MSc degree in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, where she conducted research on Artificial Intelligence under the supervision of Prof. Alan K. Mackworth, with a specific focus on controller design and sampling methods in the areas of robotics and machine learning. She received her BSc degree in Computer Engineering from Ege University, Izmir, Turkey.
