Graduate Fellow: Jiajun Wu (2016)

Jiajun Wu, from Shanghai, China

Studying at MIT

Research: Jiajun's research focuses on characterizing structural and physical object properties from synthetic and real-world visual data, and incorporating them into the understanding of interactions among objects, scenes, and agents. His research builds on both recognition models like convolutional networks and generative systems like physics and graphics engines. Research Link

Bio: Jiajun is a second-year Ph.D. student in the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, advised by Professor Bill Freeman and Professor Josh Tenenbaum. His research interests lie on the intersection of computer vision, machine learning, and computational cognitive science. Before coming to MIT, he received his B.Eng from Tsinghua University, China.
