I am a Research Scientist with the Autonomous Vehicle Research Group at NVIDIA Research. Broadly, my research interests lie in ensuring the safety of complex autonomous robotic systems. I am currently interested in improving the safety of autonomous vehicles by equipping them with the ability to detect and safely address edge cases that lie beyond the operational design domain.
I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at Princeton University and received my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware in 2018 and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in 2013. In the past, I have worked on providing performance guarantees for learning-based motion planners, safe planning and control of dynamic legged robots, and the development of assistive biomechanical devices.
