Thomas Müller

Thomas is a research scientist working on the intersection of path-traced light-transport simulation and machine learning. He joined NVIDIA in 2019 near the end of his PhD studies at ETH Zürich, where he also obtained his MSc (2016) and BSc (2014) degrees. His past research was done in collaboration with Disney and led to several awards and patents. The resulting algorithms were implemented in multiple production renderers, including Pixar's RenderMan and Walt Disney Animation's Hyperion.

In his free time, Thomas is most notably involved in developing the online rhythm game "osu!", but also enjoys working on other kinds of pet projects. A full publication and project list is available on his personal website.
